Transfer PortfoliosLanguage Portion - (ASL 3, 4, and Presentations) Signed Introduction - 5 Minutes Include your name, where you are from, educational background, your family, why you are learning sign language, where you learned sign language, and any other introductory information you want to include Formal Presentation - 10 Minutes Choose a formal (non-religious and non-deaf related) topic of your choice. Your target audience is adults Bible Story - 5 to 7 Minutes Choose an Old Testament or New Testament Bible story of your choice. Your target audience is children ages 4 – 9. All language samples will be evaluated based on the following features: fingerspelling, numbers, vocabulary, classifiers/size and shape specifies, use of space, grammar, and composure and appearance. Samples should include sufficient incorporation of these features so that signing skills can be evaluated adequately. Interpreting Portion (Expressive and Receptive Interpreting) Prepare a 10-Minute interpreting sample of each of the settings listed below. The stimulus material can be live or recorded. Voice to Sign - Informal SettingInterpreting and Transliterating Formal SettingInterpreting and Transliterating Sign to Voice Informal Setting Interpreting and Transliterating Formal SettingInterpreting and Transliterating Materials may be submitted on a VHS, DVD, or CD-ROM.
